Meghalaya CM Felicitates Students at IT Awards 2026, Distributes Laptops to 203 Awardees

Shillong, April 1: Chief Minister Conrad Sangma on Wednesday attended the Meghalaya IT Awards 2026 held in Shillong, where meritorious students from across the state were honoured for their academic excellence and perseverance.

Taking to microblogging site X, Sangma wrote, “Glad to attend the Meghalaya IT Awards 2026 in Shillong, celebrating our meritorious students. Congratulations to all awardees for their dedication and perseverance.”

The event celebrated the achievements of students from different educational boards and highlighted the importance of nurturing young talent.

On the occasion, the Chief Minister distributed laptops to 203 outstanding students from MBOSE, CBSE, and ICSE boards as part of the state government’s initiative to promote digital learning and empower youth.

“Delighted to distribute laptops to 203 outstanding students from across MBOSE, CBSE, and ICSE boards. This affirms our commitment to digital empowerment and supporting young minds to achieve their dreams”, he added.

Sangma further congratulated the awardees and encouraged them to remain dedicated to their goals.
