About Devashish Sharma:
The Deepshikha Foundation was founded by Devasish Sharma, IAS, who serves as the Founder Chairman and Trustee. Born in Jorhat, Assam, Devasish Sharma is an alumnus of Govt. HS School, Daporijo, Don Bosco School, Dibrugarh, Swami Vivekananda Vidyalaya, Digboi, and Ramjas College, Delhi University. After graduating in English Literature and completing his post-graduation in Public Relations, Mr. Sharma joined the Assam Civil Services in 1992.
His career has included various significant postings, such as being the Special Officer to the then Governor of Assam, Lt General S K Sinha, in 1996, and the Deputy Resident Commissioner of the Assam Bhawan in Mumbai in 2003. As of May 2021, he was appointed as The Commissioner of Guwahati Municipal Corporation, and since August 2022, he has been serving as the District Commissioner at the Morigaon District in Assam.
