“Voting for BJP is Like a Pilgrimage”, Says NDA Candidate Raju Mesh at Boko Rally

Guwahati, April 1: An election rally in Boko saw senior leaders campaign for NDA candidate Raju Mesh, with Public Health Engineering Minister Jayanta Malla Baruah and Chief Executive Member of BTC Hagrama Mohilary addressing a large gathering at Boko Gandhi Maidan.

The leaders arrived by helicopter and urged voters to support the BJP-led alliance in the No. 28 Boko-Chhaygaon (ST) Assembly constituency.

The rally was attended by key political and community figures, including BJP and AGP leaders, along with representatives of the Rabha Hasong Joint Forum and the Rabha Hasong Autonomous Council.

Meanwhile, allies of the BJP, including the Asom Gana Parishad, have intensified their campaign efforts in the constituency.

Addressing the gathering, NDA candidate Raju Mesh described voting for the BJP as a “pious act,” comparing it to going on a pilgrimage.

He further expressed confidence that the constituency would elect a BJP MLA for the first time, citing strong public support across communities.
