Dibrugarh, Nov 12 : A tragic road accident on Monday claimed the life of young footballer Nilutpal Hazarika, popularly known as Tingkul, a dependable defender of Betmela Yuvak Sangha, a Senior Division team under Chabua Sports Association.
The untimely death of Hazarika has left the local football fraternity in deep shock, with many describing it as an irreparable loss to Dibrugarh’s football community.
In a condolence message, the Dibrugarh District Sports Association (DDSA) expressed profound grief over his demise and extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family. DDSA remembered Hazarika as a dedicated and disciplined player who always served his team with utmost commitment.
“He was one of the most promising defenders and his absence will be deeply felt in the football circles of Dibrugarh,” said a DDSA representative in an official condolence note.
