Guwahati/Nagaon, November 30: In a heart-wrenching road accident that occurred in Bebejia, Nagaon, Murshida Firdose, a brilliant student and recipient of the prestigious Banikanta award, lost her life.

The tragedy struck on Wednesday morning when Murshida, accompanied by her father, Hibzur Rahman, a retired CRPF officer, was hit by a recklessly driven traveler vehicle.

The accident, which claimed the life of Murshida Firdose, occurred near the Ganapati Hero dealer on National Highway 37 in Bebejia, Nagaon. It involved a catastrophic collision between three vehicles.

The traveler vehicle, bearing the registration number AS04 AC 9527, was speeding from Guwahati towards Nagaon when it collided with a motorbike, registered as AS 02 AD 6773, traveling from Nagaon towards Raha, and another vehicle with the registration AS 02C 9086.

Murshida, known for her academic excellence, was on her way to submit documents for a government-provided scooter when the accident happened. The impact of the collision was so severe that despite being rushed to the Bhogeswari Phukanani Civil Hospital in Nagaon, Murshida succumbed to her injuries. Her father, Hibzur Rahman, is currently battling for his life in the ICU of a private hospital.

The untimely demise of Murshida has cast a shadow of grief over the entire region, particularly in her native village of Chamdhara in Juria. The community is mourning the loss of a young life full of potential and dreams.
