Lieutenant General Rana Pratap Kalita Leads the Eastern Command of the Indian Army

In a significant move to honor the contributions of army veterans and their families, the Indian Army organized an Ex-Servicemen Rally at Dibrugarh University ground today. The event was graced by Lieutenant General Rana Pratap Kalita, the General Officer Commanding-in-Chief (GOC-in-C) of Eastern Command. The rally aimed to address various issues faced by veterans, including pension anomalies.

Honoring the Veer Naris and Ex-Servicemen:

The rally was part of the Indian Army’s ongoing commitment to honor the Veer Naris, the widows of ex-servicemen, and the entire veterans’ fraternity for their invaluable contributions to the nation. The event saw an impressive turnout, with approximately 4,000 participants, including ex-servicemen and their dependents from Dibrugarh, Tinsukia, Digboi, and Duliajan regions.

Lieutenant General Rana Pratap Kalita’s Speech:

In his keynote address, Lieutenant General Rana Pratap Kalita informed the army veterans about various steps taken by the Indian Army to resolve pension-related issues. “Ex-servicemen must attend such rallies with their Pension Payment Orders (PPOs) to verify if they are receiving the benefits they rightfully deserve,” he emphasized. The General also highlighted the DAO Division’s close coordination with military establishments and civil administration to resolve grievances and pension anomalies.

Resolving Pension Anomalies:
