Flying High on 91: IAF’s Spectacular Air Show Captivates Guwahati!

A Blend of Tradition, Precision, and Patriotism Over Guwahati Skies

The skies over Guwahati were filled with roaring engines and awe-inspiring aerial manoeuvres as the Indian Air Force (IAF) showcased a breathtaking air display at the AF Station Guwahati, on 15th October 2023. This event was part of the 91st Anniversary celebrations of the IAF and was also an initiative of the HQ Eastern Air Command to reach out to the public.

The display featured a series of flypasts by various aircraft, including the Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH), Dornier, Rafale, and SU 30. These aircraft executed formation flying, demonstrating the impeccable coordination and skill of the IAF pilots. The highlight of the show was the performance by the SARANG display team, which left the audience spellbound with their aerial acrobatics.

Air Marshal SP Dharkar, AOC-in-C Eastern Air Command, graced the event as the chief guest. The spectacle was witnessed by over a thousand spectators, a mix of Civil, State, and Defence dignitaries, children, and the general public from Guwahati. The unanimous sentiment among the attendees was one of admiration for the flawless display of flying skill, precision, and professionalism exhibited by the IAF.
