
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma inaugurated the 1.21 km-long T-shaped flyover on GS Road at Dispur in the city on Thursday.
Opening the flyover for the general public, the Chief Minister said, “The flyover is now open for public and I request everyone not to spit on the newly constructed bridge. The artists have made a great effort to make the bridge a beautiful one with their paintings. Please do not ruin their effort.”
The new Rs 127-crore double-lane flyover will connect Dispur to Six Mile and Supermarket to Last Gate in the city.

Chief minister Sarma said the flyover is expected to significantly reduce traffic snarls in the area.
