Hyderabad, Nov 12 : Alert personnel of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) foiled an attempt to smuggle undeclared high-value electronic goods worth around ₹1.4 crore at Hyderabad airport following the arrival of two passengers from Abu Dhabi.

According to CISF officials, the two international passengers were noticed behaving suspiciously near the airport area after their arrival. Their baggage was subjected to screening through the Domestic Arrival Exit Gate X-BIS machine, which revealed a large quantity of undeclared electronic items, including banned drones, premium smartphones, laptops and accessories.
The passengers failed to produce valid purchase documents or import clearance for the recovered goods. The CISF later handed over both the passengers and the seized items to Customs authorities for further legal action.
“The CISF remains committed to safeguarding the integrity of India’s aviation security network,” stated an official release by the force.
