Guwahati, Nov 11: Sainik School Goalpara is preparing to conclude its year-long Diamond Jubilee celebrations with a grand event on November 12, marking 60 years of its contribution to nurturing future leaders. The festivities, which began last year, have featured a series of activities reflecting the school’s dedication to holistic education, discipline, and community service.
The year-long program included a variety of initiatives such as a Logo Making Competition, motivational talks, an Inter School Quiz Competition, the Assam Open Air Pistol & Air Rifle Shooting Championship, and a cultural event by SPICMACAY. The school also held community-focused activities like a blood donation camp, a charity drive, and a plantation initiative.
The grand culmination will be highlighted by the inauguration of a Memorial, the release of a Special Cover, and a Diamond Jubilee Special Edition, celebrating the school’s legacy. The event will also include a Weapon and Band Display, a Dog Show by the Indian Army, and a cultural extravaganza featuring celebrated singer Kalpana Patowary and a renowned music band.
Governor of Assam Lakshman Prasad Acharya will grace the occasion as the Chief Guest. The celebration will see the participation of government officials, alumni, parents, and well-wishers, reflecting the deep bonds that the school has cultivated over six decades.
