Guwahati, Nov 8 : Army dog Robo, an Explosive Detection (ED) canine, has been honourably retired after more than seven years of distinguished service to the nation. Trained at the Remount and Veterinary Corps Centre and College, Robo joined active duty in October 2018 and retired on November 6, 2025, after a tenure marked by exceptional professionalism and dedication.

Deployed in challenging counter-insurgency and internal security operations, Robo’s keen detection skills played a vital role in identifying explosives, securing critical areas and ensuring the safety of troops and installations.
