Veterans Swabhiman Rally 2025 to honour ex-servicemen at Narangi Military Station

Guwahati, Oct. 11 : The Headquarters 51 Sub Area has announced that the Veterans Swabhiman Rally 2025 will be held at Narangi Military Station, Guwahati, on October 12 to honour the valour, selfless service, and sacrifices of armed forces veterans.

Assam Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya will grace the event as Chief Guest. Assam Minister for Tourism and General Administration Ranjeet Kumar Dass, senior defence officers, veterans, and government representatives are also expected to attend.

The rally is expected to draw over 2,500 veterans from Assam and neighbouring states, making it one of the largest such gatherings in the region. Welfare initiatives including help desks and information stalls will be set up to address veterans’ concerns and facilitate access to central and state welfare schemes.

As part of the outreach, financial assistance will be provided to Veer Naris and needy veterans. Motorised wheelchairs, mobility scooters, and mechanical medical beds will also be distributed to physically handicapped veterans. Dedicated stalls for medical aid, pension advice, financial guidance, and skill development will support participants during the event.

The rally reaffirms the Indian Army’s enduring commitment to the welfare, dignity, and empowerment of veterans — the custodians of the nation’s legacy of service and sacrifice.
