Army outreach inspires 425 NCC cadets in Assam

Guwahati, Oct. 11 : In a spirited bid to inspire youth to join the Armed Forces, the Army Recruiting Office (ARO) Narangi, under the aegis of the Zonal Recruiting Office (ZRO) Shillong, organised an outreach programme during the Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC-110) and Youth Adventure and Motivational Session (YAMS) of 5 Assam NCC Battalion on Friday.

The event, held at the NCC camp of 5 Assam Battalion, saw enthusiastic participation from 425 cadets representing Biswanath, Sonitpur, Udalguri, and Darrang districts.

A highlight of the programme was a special session on Operation Sindoor, which showcased the decisive and courageous actions of the Indian Armed Forces. The presentation, focusing on the military’s strength, resilience, and operational excellence, left a deep impression on the cadets.

This was followed by a motivational lecture detailing the life and career opportunities in the Armed Forces. The interactive session allowed cadets to engage directly with ARO officials, clarifying queries on recruitment procedures and service life.

The ARO Narangi team ensured the event remained informative and inspiring, strengthening the Army’s bond with the youth of the region. Such initiatives, officials said, continue to motivate the next generation toward service, discipline, and nation-building.
