Swachhata Hi Sewa drive held in Jhalukbari

Campaign led by BRO highlights collective effort for cleanliness

Guwahati, Sept 25 : The Border Roads Organisation (BRO) conducted a cleanliness drive under the “Swachhata Hi Sewa 2025” campaign at Lankeshwar, Jhalukbari, on Thursday, covering high-footfall areas including markets, bus stands and roadside footpaths.

The drive, aligned with the initiative of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, was led by Additional Director General Border Roads (East) Jitendra Prasad, VSM, along with all Karmyogis of HQ Addl DGBR (East).

With the motto “Ek Ghanta, Ek Din, Ek Saath” (One Hour, One Day, Together), the campaign stressed the importance of collective responsibility in creating a cleaner and healthier environment.

Prasad lauded the efforts of participants and urged continued support for such initiatives, describing the campaign’s success as a testament to teamwork and community involvement in building a better future.
