A Hardcore ULFA (I) Cadre was nabbed in a joint operation launched by Assam Rifles & Police.
The ulta has been identified as Girindra Chetia alias Pabitra Axom (38). He is a resident of Jengeni village under Bardubi PS in Tinsukia.
He was arrested from Tinkupani Reserve forest area situated at Assam-Arunachal Pradesh border in Tinsukia district.
On Tuesday evening, 19 Assam Rifles, situated at Jayarampur launched an operation after receiving an input regarding movement of suspected militants in the area.
A 9mm pistol, 3 Rounds live bullets were seized from his possession.
Later on Assam Rifles handed over the detained ultra to Jagun police.
