Dr. Ravi Kannan of Cachar Cancer Hospital has been awarded the most Prestigious Padma Shri Award.
Dr Ravi Kannan a renowned oncologist runs the Cachar Cancer Hospital in Assam’s Barak Valley and was awarded the Padma Shri for treating over 70,000 cancer patients free of cost in the region.

President Ramnath Kovind on Monday presented the award to Dr. Kannan at Rashtrapati Bhavan.
Dr. Kannan and his team offer free cancer treatment to poor families Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur and Tripura.
