Maligaon (Guwahati), Oct 16: As part of Vigilance Awareness Week 2025, the Vigilance Wing of Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) organised an interactive workshop and presentation session at its headquarters in Maligaon on Monday.

The session was addressed by Priyanka Singh, Director, Central Vigilance Commission (CVC), and attended by S.P. Beck, Senior Deputy General Manager and Chief Vigilance Officer, N.F. Railway.
The day-long programme saw active participation from vigilance chiefs, officers and team members across departments. It served as a platform for sharing experiences, discussing challenges, and promoting ethical and transparent practices in governance.
In her address, Singh presented detailed insights on conducting vigilance investigations within the CVC framework, focusing on procedural adherence, best practices, and ethical principles. Her presentation also included case studies encouraging analytical thinking and transparency in investigations.
Beck stressed the importance of proactive vigilance and preventive mechanisms to maintain integrity and efficiency in railway operations. He commended vigilance officials for their continued commitment to fairness and transparency.
Later, Singh and Beck met N.F. Railway General Manager Chetan Kumar Shrivastava to review ongoing initiatives and discuss strategies to strengthen vigilance administration and foster a culture of integrity across the organisation.
The workshop concluded with participants expressing appreciation for the practical guidance shared during the session, reaffirming NFR’s commitment to ethical conduct and accountability in railway governance.
