CBSE Class 12 Results Out: 87.33% Students Pass
New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) announced the results of the Class 12 board exams on Friday, May 12, 2023. Out of the 16,96,770 candidates who appeared for the exams, 14,81,936 have passed, making the pass percentage 87.33%. This is a drop of 5.38% from last year’s pass percentage of 92.71%.
The results are available on the official websites of CBSE: cbseresults.nic.in and results.cbse.nic.in. Students can also access their results through DigiLocker, SMS and other websites.

The CBSE has not declared any merit list or rank holders this year to avoid unhealthy competition among students. However, the board will issue merit certificates to 0.1% of students with the highest marks in various subjects.
CBSE Class 12 Results: Over 1 Lakh Students Score 90% and Above, JNVs Top Schools
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) announced the results of Class 12 board exams today. Out of the 16,96,770 candidates who appeared for the exams, 1,12,838 have scored 90 per cent or more marks. Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs) have emerged as the best performing schools with a pass percentage of 97.51 per cent. Girls have outperformed boys in the exams with a pass percentage of 90.68 per cent, while boys have a pass percentage of 84.67 per cent. The pass percentage of transgender students is 60 per cent.
The board exams for Class 12 were conducted from February 14 to April 5 in offline mode. The exams were held for 111 subjects, out of which 76 were core subjects and 35 were elective subjects.
The CBSE has also provided the option of compartment exams for students who have failed in one or more subjects. The dates and details of the compartment exams will be announced soon on the board’s website.
The CBSE Class 12 results are crucial for students wishing to pursue higher education in various colleges and universities nationwide and abroad. The admission process for many institutions has already begun or will start soon after the declaration of the results.
