CAA Protest Was a Drama: Angoorlata Deka
Former Batadroba MLA and Assam BJP’s Mahila Morcha President Angoorlata Deka termed the Citizenship (Amendment) Act protest in Assam as a drama.
Speaking to newspersons in Guwahati, she said the people of Assam want only development and they understand the real intention of the protesting leaders.
“We, all, have seen that the BJP received overwhelming support of the people in the recently concluded by-polls. People want only development and they discard the protesting leaders,” she added.
The BJP Mahila Morcha leader also took a dig at the CAA protesters and added some among the protesters joined the ruling party.
“Some among them joined the BJP. So, I call the protest against the CAA was a drama,” she said.
