
The Assam government issued new Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to the state.
Speaking to the media, Assam State Health Minister Keshab Mahanta said that the Assam govt has changed the COVID-19 night curfew timings in the State.
From Sunday, the curfew will remain in effect from 11:30 pm to 6:00 am while shops and other establishments are to be closed at 10:30 pm.
However, curfew will not be effective on the 31st December night.
50 per cent people will be allowed to take part in meetings and gatherings. All such people must take both doses of the COVID vaccine.
Any person not wearing a mask or spitting in public places will be fined Rs.1000 also.
On the other hand, 50 per cent will be allowed in cinema halls and hotels.
These will be closed at 10:30 PM. Only the people who have taken 2 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine will be allowed in religious functions.

Besides, only fully vaccinated 40 people per hour will be allowed to take part in such functions.
The Health Minister appealed and warned the people to take both doses of the COVID vaccine.
Otherwise, the government will take legal steps.
Earlier, the Assam government issued revised guidelines mandating that all international passengers entering the state will have to submit 14-day travel details and upload a negative RT-PCR test report on the Air Suvidha portal before the journey.
