Itanagar, Sept 28 : Arunachal Pradesh marked World Tourism Day 2025 with celebrations at Aalo and Menchuka Valley on Saturday, highlighting the state’s adventure spirit, cultural heritage and community participation.
At Aalo, more than 100 locals joined Indian Army’s Spear Corps in activities such as navigation classes, white-water rafting, river crossing and rock climbing. The day-long programme promoted teamwork, resilience and the concept of #MilitaryCivilFusion while showcasing the natural beauty of the region.

In Menchuka Valley, children of Government Pre-Primary School, Lhallung Village, were introduced to the valley’s scenic charm, traditions and historical heritage. The initiative sought to nurture curiosity among children and instill values of travel, environmental preservation and cultural pride.
The twin events reflected this year’s global theme, “Tourism for All,” by engaging communities and young learners. Supported by ADGPI, Eastern Command and Spear Corps, the celebrations underlined efforts to position Arunachal as a hub for sustainable adventure and cultural tourism.
The day concluded with a pledge to foster adventure sports, preserve cultural heritage and empower youth to keep Arunachal Pradesh a beacon of natural beauty and vibrant traditions.
