The inauguration of the PET-CT facility is a landmark moment for the BBCI and reflects the government’s dedication to providing advanced healthcare facilities in the Northeast. The PET-CT machine combines two imaging modalities, PET and CT, offering a more precise diagnostic tool for oncologists to evaluate the extent and location of cancer within the body. This can lead to more accurate staging, better treatment planning, and improved patient care.

The BBCI has issued an advisory for all attendees to arrive and be seated at least one hour before the program begins to facilitate a timely and orderly ceremony.

The addition of the PET-CT facility at BBCI is expected to significantly improve the early detection and treatment of cancer, reducing the need for patients to travel long distances for such services. The institution is committed to providing the best possible care to patients and contributing to cancer research and education.
