Two-week training at Tamulpur focused on discipline, leadership and field skills
Tamulpur (Assam), Oct 30 : Seventy-five National Cadet Corps (NCC) cadets of Headquarters Guwahati Group completed a two-week Army attachment camp at Tamulpur, Assam, where they underwent intensive training in military drills, weapon handling, combat shooting, navigation, field craft and first aid.

The camp, also conducted at Gerua and Daranga military stations under the guidance of Army instructors, was designed to instill team spirit, discipline and selfless service among the cadets. Training sessions focused on building leadership qualities and preparing participants to take on future challenges as responsible citizens.
The programme concluded with a closing ceremony where cadets were awarded certificates and lauded for their commitment and hard work.
Officials said the camp highlighted the NCC’s role in youth development and nation-building, while equipping young cadets with the skills and values necessary to contribute positively to society.
