At least 12 people are feared dead after a private bus which they were travelling in caught fire after colliding with a truck on Barmer-Jodhpur Highway in Rajasthan on Wednesday.
According to a passenger, the bus departed from Balotra at 9:55 am and the accident took place when the truck, coming from the wrong side of the road, collided with the bus.
The bus went up in flames following the collision.

There were 25 people travelling in the bus when the accident took place. So far, 10 people have been rescued.
Following the mishap, officials of district administration and police reached the spot.
An ex-gratia of Rs. 2 lakh each from PMNRF would be given to the next of kin of those who lost their lives due to the accident at the Barmer-Jodhpur Highway in Rajasthan. The injured would be given Rs. 50,000 each: PM @narendramodi

Pachpadra MLA Madan Prajapat and state environment and forest minister Sukhram Bishnoi were also present at the accident site.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi condoles the death of passengers in this incident.
He announced an ex-gratia of Rs. 2 Lakh each from PMNRF to the next of kin of those who lost their lives. The injured would be given Rs. 50,000 each.
