All the rescued children were handed over to Childline authorities, NGOs, parents, and local police for rehabilitation and further action, the NFR said in a statement.

On October 25, RPF teams from Dimapur and Chaparmukh rescued three runaway minors — two boys and a girl — during special drives. Similar rescue operations between October 27 and 30 at Agartala, Dimapur, Kishanganj, and Alipurduar Junction led to the recovery of seven more minors.

Under the “Meri Saheli” initiative, RPF’s women squads have also intensified efforts to ensure the safety and well-being of women passengers, especially those travelling alone.

The RPF of Northeast Frontier Railway reiterated its commitment to passenger safety through vigilant patrolling, prompt interventions, and measures aimed at protecting women and children.
