An engineer of Ziro division of PWD Sunil Kumar was killed in a road accident on the Papu Nallah-Yupia Road.
Kumar’s car collided with an electric pole on the street, according to Doimukh SDPO Bomken Basar.
“A police crew led by SI N Rama rushed to the scene after receiving the information about the accident. Regrettably, he (Kumar) died on the spot. A case [No 76/21 u/s 279/304 (A) IPC] has been registered in the Doimukh police station, and an inquiry is underway,” he said.
According to information available, Kumar was returning from Itanagar to his residence at Rono Hills, Doimukh, after attending a get together when the accident took place.
