Orchid Nest Cafe Inaugurated in Arunachal’s Sessa Valley

Itanagar, Mar 30: In a step towards promoting tourism and sustainable development in border areas, a new cafe has been inaugurated at Sessa in Arunachal Pradesh, according to a post by MyGov Arunachal Pradesh on microblogging site X.

Lieutenant General Gambhir Singh, General Officer Commanding of the Gajraj Corps, inaugurated the Orchid Nest Cafe, which is expected to create new opportunities for tourism while supporting local employment in the region.

Taking to X, MyGov Arunachal Pradesh wrote, “At Sessa, Lt Gen Gambhir Singh, GOC Gajraj Corps, inaugurated the Orchid Nest Café, opening new avenues for tourism while supporting local employment and encouraging sustainable growth in remote border areas of Arunachal Pradesh.”

The cafe has been developed through a joint initiative of the Indian Army and the Border Roads Organisation under Project VARTAK.

Located in the scenic Sessa valley, the facility aims to serve visitors, local residents, and troops stationed near the Nichephu Tunnel by providing essential amenities.

Meanwhile, the initiative is seen as a move to encourage sustainable growth and improve infrastructure in remote areas along the state’s border regions.

“Developed through a joint effort of the Indian Army and BRO under Project VARTAK, the café stands in the picturesque Sessa valley, providing essential facilities for visitors, locals, and troops near the Nichephu Tunnel”, MyGov Arunachal Pradesh added.
