HSLC Science Paper Leak : New Date for Exam Announced
The Board of Secondary Education, Assam (SEBA) has announced that the canceled General Science examination for the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) will now be held on March 30, 2023.
The exam was scheduled for March 13, 2023, but was canceled by SEBA after reports of leakage of the question paper on social media.
Assam Education Minister Ranoj Pegu confirmed the new date on Twitter. He wrote, ‘The cancelled examination of General Science scheduled today(13/3/23) will now be held on 30 March 2023. On the other hand, the cancelled English examination in JR Higher Secondary School, Ganirgram will be held on 28th March. SEBA has issued notice.’

He also said that the Crime Investigation Department (CID) was probing the incident and assured that strict action would be taken against those involved in the paper leak.
The HSLC examination is a crucial test for students in Assam as it determines their eligibility for higher secondary education.
More than 4 lakh students are appearing for the HSLC examination this year, which started on March 1, 2023, and will end on March 31, 2023. Meanwhile, many organizations are carrying out protests against the ‘Paper Leak’ row.
