Jachep Tso trek highlights courage and endurance of Indian Army personnel

Itanagar (Arunachal Pradesh), Nov 11 : The Indian Army has completed the Jachep Tso Adventure Trek in eastern Arunachal Pradesh, a high-altitude expedition designed to promote physical fitness, endurance and environmental awareness while building teamwork and self-reliance among participants.

Traversing rugged terrain and braving harsh weather, the team demonstrated discipline and resilience. The initiative also highlighted the role of adventure activities in military training, strengthening mental robustness and adaptability in demanding conditions.

The trek reinforced the Army’s commitment to adventure sports and exploration in remote Himalayan landscapes, with organisers saying such outreach can inspire local youth to embrace fitness, conservation and national pride.

During a visit to the region, the General Officer Commanding of Dao Division lauded the participants for their spirit of adventure and perseverance, and commended the effort as reflecting the Army’s ethos of courage, camaraderie and resilience.
