Guwahati, November 26: A devastating fire broke out at the Kaamakaazi Floating restaurant, a popular dining spot located on MG Road in the bustling Fancy Bazar area of Guwahati, alongside the Brahmaputra River.

According to eyewitnesses, the fire was reported on Sunday evening around 9 pm.

Eyewitnesses reported seeing flames and smoke billowing from the floating restaurant, a well-known establishment frequented by locals and tourists alike.

The cause of the fire is yet to be determined, but it rapidly engulfed the boat, which was under maintenance for the last few days.

Emergency services were promptly alerted, and fire brigades rushed to the scene. The firefighters battled the blaze, employing multiple fire engines in an effort to control the inferno and prevent it from spreading further.
