Bhojpuri Sursangram winner Mohan Rathor, who reached Kheroni in West Karbi Anglang district of Assam was accorded a grand welcome on Saturday.
At around 4PM, accompanied by founder member of Akhil Assam Bhojpuri Parishad and local social worker Dharmendra Chauhan, Rathor was given a grand welcome at Kheroni Charali wher hundreds of people cheered Mohan Rathor and welcomed him with traditional Assamese gamocha and bursting firecrackers.
Mohan Rathor also visted the nearby Shiva temple and took the blessings of God Shiva and reached Kheroni Ghat after talking to the local people. The same spectacle was witnessed at Kheroni Ghat also.
Already eagerly waiting to welcome Mohan Rathor, the enthusiastic crowd led him to the newly constructed auditorium near the Shiva temple.
It may be noted that the winner of Lal and Mahuva TV Sursangram of Ghazipur, UP, Bhojpuri singer Mohan Rathor, Sakshi Sah, singer of Ballia district of UP, reunited with warmth as soon as Inderjit Thakur arrived. Dharmendra Chauhan, Sanjay Bhagat, Nagendra Chauhan, Prithviraj Yadav, Ramji Chaurasia, journalist Sanjay Singh were present on the stage. Prof. Rajesh Chauhan, Vikram Chauhan, Raju Yadav, Prabin (Monty) Chauhan, Badri Chauhan, Pradeep Chauhan, Jagdish Chauhan and other respected people were also present.
Mohan Rathor, who was enthralled by the crowd, made the people very happy with his unique singing style. Many of his Chhath Maiya songs made the audience dance to the tune.
Along with this, singers Sakshi Sah and Indrajit Thakur also entertained the people with melodious songs.
