Amazon India is Expanding Fulfilment Network Across the Country
Amazon India is expanding its fulfilment network in the eastern region with the upcoming launch of a new fulfilment centre in West Bengal. In a Seller Central update, Amazon India announced that operations at the new facility located in the Howrah district near Kolkata will commence by March 31, 2024.
Location of the New Fulfilment Centre
The state-of-the-art fulfilment centre spanning over 200,000 square feet is situated at L.R Dag no. 1942, 1943, 1944, 1945, 1946, 1948, 1958 in Raghudevpur & L.R Dag No. 78,79,80,81,82,87,88 in Surikhali, Mouza Suri Khali and Raghudebpur, JL Nos. 98,99, under gram Panchayat Basudebpur, Police Station Panchla, District Howrah, with a pin code of 711322.
Strategic Expansion of Fulfilment Centres
With this strategic investment, Amazon aims to double down on its delivery capabilities across Eastern India, enabling faster shipping times for customers in the region. The fulfilment centre will be equipped with advanced logistics facilities and technology to enable the stocking of a wider selection of products and quicker shipment to customers.

Advisory for Sellers
Amazon has issued an advisory asking its West Bengal-based sellers to initiate the process of updating their GST registration to include the new fulfilment centre address as an additional place of business. This statutory compliance is essential for sellers to be able to avail of warehousing and order fulfilment services at the upcoming facility.

Sellers can contact their Amazon account managers or write to fba-fc-communications@amazon.in for clarification regarding the new fulfilment centre onboarding process.
