The main accused in the Assam student leader Animesh Bhuyan lynching case, NeeraJ Das a.k.a Kala Raja was killed in an accident on Tuesday night.
Neeraj Das was killed when he made a bid to escape on Tuesday night, Police informed.
According to the police, he jumped out of the police car while being transported. However, he got hit by a following escort car which got unbalanced and hit the wall.

Sources stated that three other police personnel were injured in the incident along with the prime accused.

Niraj Das was declared dead at Jorhat Medical College & Hospital (JMCH).
As many as 13 people were arrested in Assam’s Jorhat district for allegedly beating All Assam Students’ Union (AASU) leader, Animesh Bhuyan, to death on Monday.
Two other people, including a journalist, were injured in the mob attack.
