Four youths who were on their way to join the banned United Liberation Front of Asom Independent (ULFA-I) were arrested from Tinsukia’s Pengeri village.
The four youths were identified as Madhurjya Moran (18), Somnath Moran (23), Tapan Borpatragohain (20) and Manoranjan Chetia (20).
All of them are residents of the Tinsukia district of Assam.
Their family members have already identified them.
According to reports, they are under detention and their interrogation is going on.
Though ULFA-I has announced a unilateral ceasefire with Assam & Central Govt., yet it has not stopped the recruitment of new members into the banned outfit.
Earlier on December 17 and 18, 17 men from upper Assam reportedly joined the banned militant outfit.
