Pasighat (Arunachal Pradesh), Oct 7: Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt Gen K T Parnaik (Retd) on Monday visited the Border Roads Organisation’s Project Brahmank at Pasighat and commended its contribution to strategic infrastructure development in the frontier region.
The Governor, accompanied by the deputy commissioner and superintendent of police of Pasighat, was received by Chief Engineer S C Looniya, who briefed him on the project’s role in building vital connectivity across the Shyom and Siang valleys.
Parnaik praised the BRO for its sustained efforts in constructing and maintaining key roads and bridges in remote areas, describing its work as essential in “connecting the hearts and minds of rural India to the mainstream.” He also appreciated Project Brahmank’s contribution to the Frontier Highway and its technical support to other organisations, including NEEPCO, in advancing multi-sectoral development in the hinterland.
To commemorate his visit, the Governor planted a sapling at the project site, underscoring the government’s vision of sustainable and inclusive development.
