Aalo (Arunachal Pradesh), Oct 22 : The Indian Army and Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) jointly organised a 20-km cycling rally at Aalo in Arunachal Pradesh’s West Siang district on October 21 as part of the Fit India initiative, promoting physical fitness and unity among security personnel.

The event aimed to foster synergy, interoperability, and camaraderie between the two forces while highlighting the importance of endurance and wellness in service life. Officers, Junior Commissioned Officers, and other ranks from both organisations participated in the rally, which traversed a challenging 20-km route.
Medical, logistical, and safety arrangements were handled by the Indian Army to ensure the smooth conduct of the event.
Officials said the initiative aligns with the Fit India objectives, emphasizing discipline, wellness, and physical readiness as vital aspects of operational effectiveness.
The joint cycling rally at Aalo exemplified inter-agency cooperation, showcasing how collaborative non-combat activities can strengthen coordination, teamwork, and professional bonding between security forces while nurturing a culture of fitness and preparedness.
