Guwahati, Oct. 22 : A ‘Diwali mela’ was held at the BSF Campus in Patgaon on October 19, inaugurated by Satwant Kaur, BWWA president, BSF Guwahati Frontier, in the presence of BSF personnel, their families and residents of Patgaon and Azara.
Food and sweets stalls, cultural programmes and fun games were the main attractions, while the Frontier BSF Jazz Band entertained the crowd with “foot tapping music and soulful classical renditions.”
The event concluded with Inspector General (Guwahati Frontier) Sukhdev Raj extending best wishes to the troops and their families. He also conveyed his “Deepawali” wishes to BSF jawans on duty along the international border.
