In a search operation conducted by Chirang District Police, the District Commander of ULB was arrested from Daichumguri village under Amguri Police Station of District.
The detainee was identified as Ringkhang Musahari alias B Rairab, a newly formed ULB commander.
The arrested ULB commander was a former member of the NDFB (I) group and was arrested by the police in 2015.
Ringkhang Musahari later took over as commander of the extremist group ULB.
It may be mentioned here that Assam Police has apprehended many ULB cadres in last few days. Police has also recovered incriminating documents from their possession.
