Most Parts of Shillong Under White Cover
An unexpected hailstorm in Shillong on Wednesday afternoon after a heavy shower in the morning has plummeted the temperature in the Pine city by few notches to ensure that the already cold winter becomes more freezing.
However, some are of the view that this has brought the Christmas feel to the city, making the celebrations even more special to a winter wonderland.

The streets, homes, hills of Shillong, and adjacent areas turned white when a sudden hail storm accompanied by flakes of snow hit the City, especially Upper Shillong and Leitkor areas heralding Christmas.
Interestingly, this time the snowfall was just not limited to Upper Shillong as cars parked on the roadside were seen getting covered with the snow.
Backyards, front-yards of houses are also seen getting covered with the same in areas such as Laitunkrah, Lower Motinagar, etc.

It has also brought the temperatures down in Guwahati.
