In a major bureaucratic reshuffle on Wednesday, the Assam Government has appointed Pallav Gopal Jha as the new deputy commissioner of Kamrup Metro.
He was serving as Dibrugarh Deputy Commissioner.
The Kamrup Metro DC Biswajit Pegu was appointed as Dibrugarh DC.
As per the Government notification, around 26 top bureaucrats of Assam including secretaries, deputy commissioners and other top officials have been transferred.
Paul Baruah DC, Dima Hasao has been transferred and posted as new DC, Charaideo.
Pranab Kumar Sarmah, DC, Biswanath has been transferred and posted as new DC, Darrang.
Nazreen Ahmed, Director, Financial Inspection and Additional Secretary, Finance Department is transferred and posted as DC, Dima Hasao.
Deba Kumar Mishra, PPS to the chief minister and MD, Assam Tourism Development Corporation is transferred and posted as DC, Biswanath.
Hivare Nisarg Gautam, DC, South Salmara is posted as DC, Nagaon. Pallavi Sarkar, ADC, Hailakandi is transferred and posted as DC, South Salmara. Dibakar Nath, ADC, I/C Bijni is transferred and posted as DC, Karbi Anglong.
