The Border Security Force, Guwahati Frontier HQ has joined the biggest mass cleanliness fortnight in the BSF Frontier HQ Guwahati including border area by responding enthusiastically to the ongoing Swachh Bharat Pakhwada being observed from 1st Dec 2018 to 15th Dec 2018 under the Swachch Bharat Campaign.
The Swachch Bharat Pakhwada was flagged off administering of the Swachchta pledge by Inspector General Sh Rakesh Aggarwal, IPS to the Officers, SOs and Jawans of Frontier HQ Guwahati. He appealed the all to collectively work towards realising the goal of Swachch Bharat by inculcating cleanliness in daily lives by dedicating two hours a week to cleanliness which would lead to 100 hours in a year. The Swachch Bharat Pledge was also administered in sectors Coochbehar, Falakata, Dhubri and in all Battalion of Guwahati Ftr.
Cleanliness drive was led by Sh Rakesh Aggarwal, IPS, Inspector General BSF Guwahati Ftr, in which 140 Seema Prahai are participating. Sh Rakesh Aggarwal, IPS, Inspector General also said that we the sentinels of the border are not only confined to our assigned duties, but are also donning the garb of ‘‘Sentinels of the Environment’’. He further emphasis that we as responsible citizens of India should work with sole aim to contribute towards saving and preserving our environment, by involving the masses and assured to continue with these endeavours.
The BSF, Guwahati Frontier Headquarter will be taking up various initiatives to make the drive a success. The Swachchta Pakhwada programme has been drawn to inform and educate the Seema Prahari and their families and other stakeholders about the Swachch Bharat Abhiyan and achieve the cleanliness goals under the action plan.
During the forthnight, Guwahati Frontier is organizing cleanliness drive in various office premises and in the border areas inculcate the message of cleanliness in most effective and innovative manner.
