BSF Personnel Rescues Injured Civilian From Overturned Boat

The Border Security Force jawans, in an act of daredevilry, rescued one injured person from an overturned boat in Brahmaputra River near South Salmara on Sunday.

According to a BSF release, on Sunday a civil boat got overturned in Bharamputra river during loading process at Boleralga Ghat, in South Samara of Assam.

Alert border guards of nearby BSF BOP Boleralga Tent Post, 06 Bn under BSF Guwahati Ftr immediately responded and started rescue operation with the help of BSF and civil boat.

During rescue operation, BSF troops also evacuated a seriously injured Indian national namely Asmat Ali (55 yrs) of Boleralga village and immediately shifted him to nearest hospital by the help of BSF boat.

Due to the timely action taken by Border Security Force troops, precious life of thecritically injured Indian National could be saved.
